Inspired {Austin, TX Children's Photographer}

This morning I read a great article (you can read it here) about capturing something other than faces. It adds the the character of a picture and can really tell a great story! So, I decided to keep my eyes out throughout the day to put this into practice. My daughter wanted to "help" me clean the bathroom so I put her right to work scrubbing the toilet. She actually does a pretty good job! Of course, baby brother also wanted to "help" by touching the cool blue water, splashing and having the time of his life. Instead of being a good Mother and bringing my boys hands OUT of that nasty water, I grabbed my camera and snapped a few shots. (Don't hate!)

I think this picture tells a funny little story and is better than if would have taken it of their faces. :)

And don't worry, when I was done, he was banned from the bathroom!

Sometimes the unplanned, totally candid moments are the sweetest captures in the world. That's how I feel about these pictures. I feel that they speak of the love between sister and baby brother, let you feel the warmth of the sunset and allow you to hear the laughter of sweet children in summer-time. These are my precious memories!

What I'm working on now! This little sweetheart was a dream!

Wide Awake {Austin, TX, Newborn Photographer}

This little guy was very determined to stay awake for his entire session--and he succeeded! For only being a few days old that was quite the accomplishment! He was calm and let me do whatever I wanted with him though so that's all that matters! What a sweetie! Thanks Jessica--your little man is A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E!

Little Sample of what I'm working on...

I did a few photo shoots before leaving for a loooooong vacation, but wasn't able to edit or post anything while I was away--thanks to a laptop that decided to take a vacation too! Anyway, I'm finally back and working away. This little guy stayed awake for his entire session--a very big accomplishment for a baby only a few days old! Thankfully he was cooperative, though, and we were able to capture some very sweet moments. Thanks Mom and Dad for jumping in for a few of them--I love the way they turned out!

Well, after a few weeks of visitors from out of town, a trip out of town with my husband for our anniversary, 4th of July and just every day crazy life, I'm finally getting around to posting the rest of these!
