These Moments

I wonder why these moments cannot last forever. I wonder why they can't stay small, laughing and playing, kissing and sticking out their tongues.

I wonder why they can't stay small forever, looking up at me like I'm the best thing in the world that ever happened to them.

I wonder why these moments can't last.

The goofy moods, the crazy faces, the puckered lips.

The sheer innocence of being a child and not having a care in the world.

 As much as I wish they could stay young forever, they won't. But they will stay young today.
 So today I will cuddle with my babies, taking in every smile, every giggle, every twinkle in their eyes as they look at me and play with each other. These moments won't last forever, but I am determined to enjoy the moments that I have today.

...catch-up! Here's a gorgeous family that I met with on a warm, sunny, December day. I'm still not quite used to "warm" and "December" being in the same sentence--but I don't mind! :) We shot at one of my favorite locations and found a few more cool spots there I hadn't seen before. FAQ's

Where Will the Session Take Place?
I do my best to create a very relaxed experience for your photo session. Sessions take place at an outdoor location or somewhere in your home with plenty of natural light. If you don't have a location in mind, I can offer suggestions.
What will my session experience be like?
We will have about an hour together in or around the Austin, TX area and in that time I will capture your precious memories and special moments. We will take time to calm crying babies and let little ones run and play so that I can preserve those moments you want remember forever.

What if I need to cancel?
 When you book your session, you will be required to pay a small deposit to hold your date and time. If an emergency comes up, you may reschedule for a more convenient time. Your deposit, though it does not expire, is non-refundable.

Can I print my Own Pictures?
In a word, yes, but I don't recommend it (see below). You will have a print release given to you with your disk of portraits so that you may order prints from the lab of your choice. This does not give you rights to sell, edit or use in any way other than personal use.

Can I order Prints from You?
 This is something I strongly suggest. Ordering prints through me will assure that you will receive a professional, high quality print that has not had coloring or quality altered in any way.
After prints are ordered, we will make arrangements for you to pick them up or have them shipped to your home.

What to Wear

I often get asked, “What should we wear?” I put together a little inspiration in hopes that your creative juices will get flowing to come up with some fabulous outfits for your shoot!

--For family pictures, solid tops with jeans or skirts are great. Different colors are wonderful as long as they tie in—you’ll see this on the picture guide. Also, a few prints thrown in are great-- but not too many. Try not to mix prints/plaids/stripes, etc, as it will clash when you are all together.

--Everyone doesn’t have to look like clones, but should be well coordinated. The days of white and khaki are over. Bring on the color, as long as it all ties together!

--Accessories can make or break your family picture! J A bright scarf, tie, flower or necklace can really change the whole look of your outfit—for the better! So pay special attention to those details! 

--Couples: Bring on the fun and flirty! A pretty, flowy dress for her and jeans with a button up shirt and sports coat are awesome! Accessories are important for you, as well!

--Lastly, don’t forget that we will probably see your shoes! So don’t forget to wear something that goes great with your outfit. Lime green sneakers with a red dress just might clash a little.

Each session is unique and customized to meet your expectations and desires. The location can be a local park, downtown, or even at your home. I take the time to get to know you and your family, capture your precious memories and present you with beautiful images that show your family's personality! Your session will be calm and relaxed, with breaks to let little ones run and play if they need a break! There is no hurry or rush to complete your session in a certain time. Custom photography is not a chain studio experience; it is a memorable event that will leave you with precious memories that will last forever! 

2015 Pricing

Full Family or Senior Session: $325

Includes:

• Photo shoot at location of your choice (TBD), usually lasting about 45-90 minutes
• 30 day online gallery to share with family and friends
• 20-30 High Quality, beautiful edited digital images 
• Your choice of a 16x20 print from your session
• 10% off additional prints if ordered through me

Newborn Session: $365

Includes:

• 2-4 Hour Photo Shoot in your or my home (TBD)
• Shoot of your newborn, Mommy and baby as well as one family photo if desired
• 30 day online gallery to share with family and friends
• 15-20 High Quality, beautiful edited digital images 
• Your choice of a 16x20 print from your session
• 10% off additional prints if ordered through me

Mini Session: $150

Includes:

• 10-20 Minute Session in the South Austin area
• 5 high quality, beautifully edited images on disk with print release
• Up to 5 People
• Limited sessions offered throughout the year
• Not available for newborns

Although you will have the right to print where you choose, I cannot guarantee the quality, coloring, or clarity of prints that result when prints are provided by a source other than Cammi J Photography.  I highly suggest taking advantage of the professional prints that I offer
